In July 2024, the AIAOC Housing Committee introduced the Housing Charrette for Attainable Housing as a way to address Orange County’s housing crisis.

Utilizing a real site and asked to consider construction costs and actual income data, AIAOC firms were asked to prepare their visions on what attainability truly means, while also providing necessary amenities for quality of life.  Submissions were presented at the AIAOC October Mixer.

This is a grassroots effort by AIAOC members to effect change within OC communities. The charrette was phase one of a broader scale with steps now being taken by the AIAOC Housing Committee to create public material for a Countywide campaign.  Please contact jgill@aiaoc.org to learn more about the AIAOC Housing Charrette for Attainable Housing.
